How to Create an Invoice

Creating an invoice in InvoiceFlow is quick and easy. Follow these steps:

Step 1: Start a New Invoice

  1. Go to Invoices in the main menu
  2. Click Create Invoice

Step 2: Select a Customer

Choose an existing customer or create a new one on the fly.

Step 3: Add Line Items

For each product or service:

  1. Click Add Item
  2. Select a product or enter a custom description
  3. Set the quantity and price
  4. Apply any applicable tax rate

Step 4: Review Totals

InvoiceFlow automatically calculates:

  • Subtotal
  • Discounts (if applied)
  • Tax amounts
  • Total due

Step 5: Set Payment Terms

Choose:

  • Issue Date: When the invoice is dated
  • Due Date: When payment is expected

Step 6: Save or Send

  • Save as Draft: Save for later editing
  • Send Invoice: Email directly to your customer

Tips

  • Add notes for special instructions
  • Include payment terms for clarity
  • Attach files if needed
